Raising Awareness of the Impact of Tissue Viability

The TVNAI was set up in the early 2000’s to provide a peer support network to, at that time, very few clinical nurse specialists in wound management and tissue viability who were mainly working in silos in hospitals and communities around Ireland. The number of members has grown exponentially in response to the growing prevalence of wounds, which can affect people at any age but are strongly associated with an increase in ageing population.
